Dhelphait
Dhelphait when translated to the common tongue loosely means children of the stars. They were once a human teran race, that lived upon Karthaxan, a planet in a distant solar system. But long ago left their planet so they could set out, choosing to instead travel the stars. Life within space and eons of genetic manipulations however have mutated the race into a new appearance.
Their height and weight are of a similar vein of the humans, their hair, eye, and skin color drastically vary. Skin colors range from warm browns to rich oranges and yellows, emulating the sun, while others are various shades of blue, grays, and even white to imitate a moon and night like quality. Some even end up a stark black color much like the darkness between the stars. Hair and eye colors are much the same as one would find in space. Warm rich oranges, soft silvers, and even various shades of bright colors such as greens and pinks.
Culture
The Dhelphait since the days of terran life have always worshiped two gods. Tusien, the God of the Sun, and his wife Imnois Goddess of the Moon. It was this devotion to their deities which caused the mass exodus from their home world. It was also this desire to live among the stars with their gods that helped their society to advance rapidly regarding technology. It is said that they were some of the first beings to travel in space. Even before the advancement of proper technology, mutilation of the body was encouraged among their people. Often, they would pick tattoos and scarification which represented the sun or the moon.
Along with a mix of long-term exposure to the radioactive waves found in space, and eventual genetic modifications when the advancements came long, they trend of seeking a closer likeness to their gods. It was this devotion which began to alter the many generations which were to come.
They have spent eons among the skies, exploring the galaxies, and distant worlds, living in a fleet of vessels designed for both defense and comfort. However due to the nature in which they choose to live, there is often an extremely strict lifestyle attached to life among the Dhelphi. Their laws while designed to protect them in harsh conditions are absolute and severe, as is the punishment for violating these laws, which is often banishment or death.
