The People's Republic of Maldonis was founded by humans who did not fully agree with the ideals of the Old Republic. Some viewed the old systems of rule, the laws, and the people who ran them as archaic. A bloody civil war was fought during the separation with the New Republic making a point to give allure to all of the best scientists and great minds to join them in their cause. Though, originally, having a smaller force, their technological superiority became immediately apparent. Bringing more and more to their side as they provided a more modern take on what a Republic "should" look like. Eventually winning out in the conflict, the New Republic allowed the Old Republic to retain their sovereignty, thus leading to what many believe is the strongest alliance in the sector. Perhaps not in terms of force, but certainly in terms of ideology. Since the conflict, neither Republic has gone to war without the other.
PEOPLE & Culture
While primarily human, the New Republic boasts a more diverse population than any other. As Sentarin-3 is a system within Maldonese control, it is primarily, under the jurisdiction of their law enforcement. System Investigations Division acts as a paramilitary force to help maintain order. There are many law enforcement entities, such as the System Police, which function more like the national guard. They work to actively hunt and defend against pirates, raiders, slavers, and other outlaws on a daily basis.
MILITARY & Fleet
The Republic holds a deep fascination with Mechs, often pairing them with infantry on drop ships. Their Star-Fleet is one of the most modern in the sector, with a heavy emphasis on speed for their star-fighters.

The Maldonis fleet is massive, dwarfing that of most other factions. Boasting multiple Flagships, the Maldonis Republic's armada is rivaled in size only by the Tzyq. The Maldonis Republic boasts the largest battleship in the known galaxy, the Bulwark V.

Architecture & Territories
The architecture of the Maldonese or the New Republic is rather eclectic. Taking many of their favorite pieces of other cultures they add it all together. It is no surprise that people refer to many of their cities as melting pots. Controlling Sentarin-2, Sentarin-6, and Sentarin-7, the hold vast territories of resource rich planets.
